Sessionize has become a very common service in the Data community world for managing events call for speakers. It does a great job of making a difficult process simple. While it is packed with features for organizers and speakers, There are a couple of features that are less used and very useful, that I want to mention here.
Uploading of your session materials
Downloading your speaker social media card
Both of these are very helpful to attendees of your session and to the organisers of the event, but they are a little bit hidden.
Uploading of Session Materials
1) Log into your sessionize account. On your speaker dashboard, you should see your upcoming session
2) Click on your session name and on the next screen you should see details about your session.
3) Click on Edit Session and scroll down the next page until you see the options to upload accompanying materials and/or set a material URL
Downloading of Speaker Cards
Please note, that your speaker card will only be available if the organizers have created them first. If you don't see it, you can always suggest to the organizer to generate them.
1) Log into your sessionize account. On your speaker dashboard, you should see your upcoming session
2) Click on the Green Details button and on the next screen you will see your card ready for download.
That is it! In case you are wondering how participiants download your material, they can do that right from the event schedule. When they click on your session, they will see the materials. (Although the organizers do have to enable that option.)
